VONDEL COOKIE POLICY

This English version is provided for information purposes only. In case of any discrepancy between the Turkish and English versions, the Turkish version shall prevail.

This Cookie Policy has been prepared to inform visitors about the cookies used on the vondelexcellence.com website (the "Website") operated by Yiğit Ünalan, operating under the name "Vondel", located at İdealtepe Mah. Cuma Sk. Elif İdealist No: 1 İç Kapı No: 5 Maltepe/İstanbul and registered with the Küçükyalı Tax Office under tax number 9120309518 ("Vondel"). Visitors may manage their cookie preferences at any time through the cookie preferences panel on the Website.

1. What Is a Cookie?

Cookies are small text files saved on your device through your browser when you visit a website. Cookies enable the Website to function, your preferences to be remembered and usage to be measured.

2. What Are the Types of Cookies?

Cookies are generally classified differently according to the party providing the cookie, the duration of use and the purpose of use.

Cookies are classified into two groups according to the providing party:

First-Party Cookies are cookies placed directly by the website the user visits, in other words by the URL shown in the browser's address bar. Personal data processed through first-party cookies are obtained directly by the data controller managing the website.

Third-Party Cookies are cookies placed by a third party other than the website the user visits.

Cookies are divided into two according to their duration of use:

Session Cookies (session – non-persistent) are stored only for the duration of the user's visit to the website. When the user leaves the website, the cookies expire and are deleted automatically.

Persistent Cookies are stored in the browser for certain periods. The retention periods of persistent cookies vary depending on their purpose of use. These cookies are deleted automatically after the predetermined periods expire. If the user changes the cookie settings before the expiry of the period set for persistent cookies, these cookies may also be deleted before that period.

Cookies are grouped under four main purposes according to their purpose of use:

Strictly Necessary Cookies are cookies whose use is mandatory for websites to function properly. These cookies enable various features of websites and are used where necessary to provide an information society service requested by the user (such as logging in, filling in forms or remembering privacy preferences). If strictly necessary cookies are blocked, some parts of the website will not work. These cookies are not used for marketing purposes in any way.

Functional Cookies are cookies used for personalisation and remembering preferences. These cookies are used to provide functionality other than that of strictly necessary cookies. They improve users' experience on websites and add functionality to sites. For example, they are used for purposes such as saving users' filter settings or the language in which they prefer to use the site.

Performance-Analytics Cookies are cookies that enable statistical measurement to analyse users' movements on websites. In this way, they enable websites and services to be improved. For example, information about the user's device and information such as the pages on the website that are clicked most often or where the most time is spent are obtained through analytics/performance cookies.

Advertising/Marketing Cookies identify personal interests by tracking users' online movements and help carry out advertising/marketing activities related to these interests. For example, they are used for purposes such as identifying users' interests, carrying out personalised marketing activities for users and thus not showing users advertisements that do not interest them. Marketing cookies are also used to avoid showing users the same advertisements too often and to measure the effectiveness of marketing activities.

3. Which Personal Data Are Obtained Through Cookies?

Through cookies, the language and cookie preference and, if consent is given to analytics cookies, the pages visited, visit duration and referral source information are obtained.

4. For Which Purposes and on Which Legal Grounds Does Vondel Use Cookies?

4.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies: These are used for the proper operation of the Website and remembering your language and cookie preferences. These cookies are used under Article 5(2)(f) of Law No. 6698, namely that processing is mandatory for the legitimate interests of the data controller, provided that it does not harm the fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject, and are not used for marketing purposes. If strictly necessary cookies are blocked, some parts of the Website may not work.

6. How Are Cookies Managed?

You can always control the cookies used on the Website and withdraw your permission for the cookies you have allowed at any time.

Alternatively, you can also manage cookies by updating your browser settings. Many browsers have settings and guides for updating cookie preferences and removing cookies.

Depending on your internet browser, you can obtain information about cookies and exercise your right to allow or refuse them by following the steps on the help pages linked below:
